Developments in Europe.

The European Union has the ambitious goal to expand its biomethane production to 35bcm (billion cubic meters) in less than 8 years.

Because of our secured feedstock volumes, we at DBG Bio Energy have 10 large-scale projects in Europe lined up in The Netherlands, The United Kingdom, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Finland, Germany and Poland.

Our plans will play an important role in reaching the EU target!

Our first plant will be built in Delfzijl, Groningen; the next projects in other ports in the Netherlands will follow suit. The aim is: 5 plants, in the next 5 years, 3 of which in the Netherlands.

Every plant is approximately 10 hectare large and processes 270 tons of paper sludge every year. The feedstock is transported mainly by barge and the end products are also transported out by barge to keep emissions as low as possible.
